Welcome to Gasthof Paternwirt, located in the Lesach Valley, Carinthia - Europe’s most environmentally friendly and unspoilt valley.
The friars living in the Monastery of the Servite Order in Maria Luggau have long recognised the importance of quality. It is from them that the traditional Gasthof Paternwirt (built in 1160), which is located in the centre of the village square, derives its name.
Paternwirt (literally Friar’s Innkeeper) – The name stands for tradition, for the best local specialities made using regional products and for a feeling of cosiness on the sunny side of Maria Luggau. This is where you will meet hard-working people, who cultivate and look after their small natural treasure and permit their guests to take part in their traditions.
Irrespective of whether you wish to go hiking, motorcycling, on a pilgrimage or are looking for some relaxation in the Lesach Valley’s beautiful countryside – there is something for everyone.
Come visit us and allow yourself be completely pampered.
