The Obernosterer family welcomes you to the new, 4-star Hotel “Der Paternwirt” in Maria Luggau, standing at a height of 1100m above sea level in the Lesachtal Valley.

The Fathers from the nearby Convent of the Servites already knew what was good for both body and mind. The Paternwirt inn was named after them. The Porcia family coat of arms is proof that this building dates back to 1660.

Now, a new, 4-star, family-run hotel stands here – Der Paternwirt – built according to ancient, fundamental values.

We have extended the building with 15 new rooms, so we can now offer 59 beds.

Whether it’s the natural stone tiles or the stone washbasins in the bathrooms - or the natural wood furniture - we wanted to bring nature inside the Hotel Paternwirt.

Make yourself at home! Our refurbished bedrooms and panoramic suites with views over the majestic scenery of the Carnic mountain route or the mountain route of the Gail Valley will tempt you to rest and relax.

From the 2017 summer season, we will be welcoming groups of 15 or more.

If you feel the need to get back your strength and energy for your everyday life, our 4-star Hotel Der Paternwirt can offer you everything you require.

Our new wellbeing area, affectionately named “Wellnessstadl” (Wellness Barn), invites you to spend a few hours just relaxing: just choose between the Panoramasauna with a view over the Carnic foothills, or the Bergsauna with a view of the High Route of the Gail Valley, or our welcoming, cosy relaxation area.
